Due to personal issues that will be respectfully kept personal, BRS has regretfully decided to part ways with our current drummer, Mason. Mason is an amazing musician, and one hell of a guy.. and we wish him the best of luck in any future projects, as well as in life in general.

With that being said..

Justin, Paul, Jason and Rob of Black Ribbon Sky are god damned PROUD to announce the addition of our new drummer, Leo Phillips. We'd give you a link to his myspace.. but, well.. Leo doesn't believe in the internetz. Sorry.

Leo brings a solid backbone to this project. Pounding beats, solid driving rhythms, and a desire to play what is right for the song, not just what is right for him, is his M.O.. His playing intensity will just blow you away. -- Hell, he's blown US away!

Come on out to Davey's Uptown on Aug. 29th to show Leo the love that all of us in BRS have come to know from our fans. We're throwing him in the fire, per se, with only 3 weeks worth of practice.. but don't worry.. he's tearing it up already!

The show on the 29th @ Davey's Uptown is going to be insane. Definitely get there early, as they have a small capacity, and all of the bands are expecting a sold out show. It's Boomstick's reunion show, afterall. Heather from Hallucination and Bry-Guy from Downlink Productions/Joyful Decay will also be celebrating their birthdays with us this night.

We highly recommend you go check out our brothers in Daddry Shield and Restraint. Amazing bunch of musicians in both bands.
